Gary Peters did not run away from Barack Obama. Gary Peters was elected to the Senate – after having Obama campaign for him.

In Arkansas, Mark Pryor ran away from Obama. Mark Pryor is one of the reasons the Senate did not vote on a minimum wage increase.

Mark Pryor lost his Senate race – while the same voters were approving an increase in the minimum wage.

Mark Pryor is a wienie. Gary Peters is a Senator-Elect.

Corporations are created by governments. No government laws, no corporations.

Sorry Mitt.

Consider American governments to be bought by the highest bidders. The more the wealthy spend on politics and government, the more they bid up the price and the more they are the only ones who can afford it.

The rest of us are irrelevant.

Remember when Bob Kerrey, then a Senator from Nebraska, said “Bill Clinton is an unusually good liar“?

Mitt Romney is an unusually prolific liar.

That is all.

Nan Hayworth’s flack resigned. You know the one, the guy whose idea of public debate is to throw acid in the faces of women legislators who have the temerity to disagree.

He’ll probably get a gig working for Fox, or some right-wing pretend-think tank, or Karl Rove. At least he’s off the public payroll.

She never seemed to think what Mr. Tough-Guy said might be a problem.

So this guy Jay Townsend, campaign spokesman for Republican Rep. Nan Hayworth (NY-19), thinks the answer to uppity women is to throw acid in the faces of female Democratic Senators. Townsend is more honest in expressing his fears for his manliness than Sarah Palin crosshair targeting members of Congress.

His boss still has nothing to say. So it’s ok with her, I guess.

For all their fear of “Sharia Law,” and for all it’s the right-wingers who act most like fundamentalist crazies. Jilted and fearful.

After stumbling across the fact that Albany County, NY has a county legislature of 39 members, we looked a bit deeper. The cost of the legislature is $2,530,032. For over 10 years, the average increase has been over 5% per year.

In looking at this remember that this county has only about 300,000 residents.

Get this. Every single member is paid at least $21,752. The Chairman makes $36,257. Even better, even though they’re part-time they get full time health benefits. Sweet deal. There are a couple of staff who make over $100,000.

Other than the state legislature, is there a government in New York that has a bigger governing body? I hope not.
